Capitol Air Systems is a provider of post-sales service for compressed air and vacuum systems. Any time you have experienced field service techs in an industrial field, it’s a good idea to put a face to the service they provide. Marketing 101: people need to buy you before they buy your service. In the case of Capitol Air Systems, their field service techs want to be able to connect with clients through a variety of social media outlets such as Linked-In or Facebook. Instead of using photos taken with a cell phone or a point-and-shoot camera against a white wall, they wanted something that looked more professional and eye catching. By using professional quality photos to introduce clients and potential clients to their field service techs, clients can rest assured they are making the right choice by hiring a company that takes themselves seriously enough to invest in their image.

In two hours time, we were able to make environmental portraits of each tech, environmental group portraits of all the techs together, individual portraits indoors and several photos of the techs “at work” on a project. Since the head shots will be used in several places on the web apart from the main Capitol Air Systems website, they wanted to ensure the environmental portrait showed the company identity. Since space was somewhat limited, we decided to use company trucks and equipment that had the logo on it.

Also, each tech needed an indoor head shot that also included the company logo and identity.

By having two separate photos for each person, they are able to use each in a different location. For example, the indoor versions could be used on the company website and the environmental ones on Linked-in. Variety is the spice of life, right?

Lastly, we can’t turn a field service firm loose without photos of their techs working in the field. It is important to show your employees at work instead of using stock photos of someone else. There is a sense of legitimacy that happens when the techs seen on your website show up at a client’s facility and perform high quality work. Business becomes personal and clients become repeat clients.
